Season Postponement for Covid-19

Good Morning and let us first apologize about the lack of updates over the last 2-3 weeks. Our volunteers are, like everyone dealing with the quarantine methods and guidelines set in place. We want to take this time to say a few things.

First, let us state that from Little League International there was a postponement placed and return is currently at no earlier than May 11th, 2020

With this, it means when there are advancements made on the bigger scale, and we are given approval to take the field; practices, games, gatherings can then take place. However, please understand that we cannot touch a field or have a gathering under any circumstance until the guidelines and mandates change from Little League International. Social Distancing mandates and guidelines insist it is the MOST IMPORTANT WAY to protect our regions, families, children.

Little League International is also revisiting certain guidelines for age placement and eligibility. They will update us as they become available.

We understand that times are hard and can be confusing on all fronts, not just the Little League and / or sports world. But it is imperative that we follow the guidelines to protect our communities, families and the children of the league. We've gotten a few questions about refunds and what can be done going forward ? While the board hasn't met yet on an audio or video conference, we do have active discussions in a group style chat. To that question, let us first answer with ; Uniforms are here, equipment is here, administrative tools are here. We were ready for the season to start, until unfortunately the world was introduced to Covid-19. All registration dues that were received were applied to Insurances, Charter Fees, Uniforms, Banners, Concession remodel and clean out, Utility Bills. The rest was reserved for Portable Bathrooms at the park and other administrative needs with District 53 and Little League International. At this point, we cannot currently issue refunds.

We will be discussing how to handle refunds if so needed and please understand that as of right now -the season will still be happening.

So in this time, let the players build their abilities. Let them go outside be it backyard or safe local green space, swing off a tee into a net, work on their grounders, properly form a throw, understanding of the rules and the game. Even at the Tee-Ball Level.

We will be posting some workshop videos for team-parents, coaches, to relay to their families as well as a direct link for the parents. These videos will help with tee-work, catching practices, small drills, fielding balls, understanding the game. There will also be some videos and tutorials for the parents so that you can, if you choose... learn to score a baseball game.

We are with you in this and we ask you to hold on. The Season is not cancelled as we've seen posted, it's simply being put on hold until the danger passes. Thank you for your time ; for more information click Little League Covid19 Updates
